Cluster Wireless specializes in the development and productization of Middleware for software for the management of distributed systems, machine-to-machine connections, smart pipes, and personal area networks. We provide software solutions to enhance connectedness to both broadband cellular capabilities (HSPA, CDMA EVDO, etc.) and short-range personal networks (WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.). We are a small, start-up company with significant potential for growth with continuing telecommunications development. Revenues are derived from both intellectual property royalties and engineering services associated with management software for personal connectivity. We have offices in San Diego, California; Chennai, India; Plano, Texas and Canada.

Dr. Thomas O’Neill CEO
Dr. Tom O’Neill is Cluster Wireless’ CEO. From 2002–2008, Dr. O’Neill was Vice President for Qualcomm, representing its business development in Africa and Southern Asia, assisting network operators in their CDMA deployments. Dr. O’Neill joined Qualcomm’s fledging chipset division in 1995, and became Vice President for integrated circuits development programs.
Prior to joining Qualcomm, Tom was a Director within US West Advanced Technologies in Boulder, Colorado. Tom has a doctorate from MIT in Semiconductor Physics, and Master’s and Bachelor’s engineering degrees from UC Berkeley, and UC San Diego, respectively. He also holds an MBA from Rady Business School at UC San Diego.
Prem Kumar CTO
Prem Kumar is currently CTO of Cluster Wireless. From 2003–2008, Prem was Staff Product Manager at Qualcomm, and was responsible for BREW Client Product Management at Qualcomm Internet Services. Prior to this, he initiated multiple value added services for emerging markets including Short Voice Service to extend SMS where literacy and language are barriers, and SVS is now a commercial service in India. Prem has a Master’s in Electrical engineering from Stanford University, and Bachelor’s in Electronics and Communication engineering from College of Engineering, Guindy, India. He also has an Executive MBA from SDSU.
